Malema in Heilbron: EFF Wants More Affordable Electricity

EFF leader Julius Malema says the party wants to make electricity more affordable for South Africans. He was speaking to supporters at an election campaign event in Heilbron in the Free State on Saturday.

“We want to give electricity that’s affordable, not cheap,” Malema said, arguing that electricity should not be expensive when coal is mined where it is produced. He also said the EFF would link SASSA grant databases to municipal systems so grant beneficiaries are automatically classified as indigent.
