CCTV Footage Takes Centre Stage in AKA and Tibz Murder Trial

CCTV footage has taken centre stage in the murder trial of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane in the Durban High Court.

The court heard that a vehicle was seen around Wish restaurant before the shooting and was then captured moving through Durban streets, at one point at high speed.

KZN Organised Crime Unit witness Sergeant Rajen Sanders told the court the vehicle’s licence disc placement, colour, non-working left headlight and rims were similar to the getaway car. The defence opposed admitting a photo album of more than 50 pictures linked to the scene where the vehicle was found in Cato Manor.

AKA and Tibz were shot dead outside Wish on Florida Road on 10 February 2023. The seven accused have pleaded not guilty to all charges. The trial continues.
