Leaked Dossier Raises Questions Over Overlapping PA-Linked Board Appointments

A leaked dossier has raised questions about how people linked to Sport, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie and the Patriotic Alliance came to hold overlapping seats on Johannesburg municipal boards, including the JRA, Metrobus and Joshco, and on national arts, culture and heritage bodies.

It claims the same network of people repeatedly appears across these structures.McKenzie has previously rejected similar claims, saying bodies such as the National Arts Council are not political and that members are appointed from a shortlist compiled by an independent panel after public nominations and interviews. The DA has lodged a complaint with the Public Protector over PA-linked appointments. The dossier’s claims have not been tested or independently verified.
